Through expert coaching, a supportive environment, and a passion for the game, we aim to elevate every player’s skills, confidence, and love for each sport—helping them rise above the net and beyond expectations.

Meet the Team

  • Founders & Directors, Above the Net Academy LLC

    The Rodgers are the passionate founders and directors of Above the Net Academy, a premier sports training organization dedicated to developing well-rounded athletes. With over 18 years of experience as a player and coach, The Rodgers has built a program that focuses not only on elite technical training but also on leadership, character, and resilience.

    Driven by a mission to inspire athletes to exceed their limits, The Rodgers has coached athletes from beginner to club levels, helping them reach new heights both on and off the court. Known for their high-energy coaching style and commitment to excellence, The Rodgers continues to make an impact in the sports community through Above the Net Academy’s year-round clinics, camps, and personalized development programs. We have been married for 10 years and have two wonderful, energetic and supportive boys.


  • Director of Marketing

    Melia Kane is an experienced volleyball coach with over 7 years of coaching and more than a decade of competitive playing experience. A proud alumna of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, she is deeply committed to developing athletes both on and off the court—fostering teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.

    In addition to her athletic background, Melia is passionate about bringing ideas to life through marketing and design. She enjoys blending creativity with strategy to build meaningful connections and elevate brand experiences.

    Outside of her professional life, Melia enjoys long-distance running, reading, and spending quality time with her fiancé and their dogs.
